To navigate the changing interior elevation, you can step across a built-in, three-step staircase that spans approximately 15 meters (49 feet) wide. As you explore, you will also find two branching side passages named in honor of scientists Heinrich von Dechen and Rudolf Virchow, with one passage featuring two tunnels leading directly to the surface.
