People’s Park

Welcome to People’s Park, also known as White Dragon Park, a historic urban retreat located at 1 East Renmin Road in central Nanning, Guangxi. Just a ten-minute walk from Chaoyang Square, this AAA-rated attraction offers a peaceful escape in the heart of the city. You can explore the 17-acre White Dragon Lake, which features a charming central island connected to the shore by two bridges.

For incredible views, head to Wangxian Hill—the highest point in downtown Nanning. To reach the summit, climb 141 wide stone steps to visit Zhenning Fort, built in 1917 on the former site of the Temple of Six Lords. There, you can inspect a 120mm rail-mounted Krupp cannon manufactured in Germany in 1890.

Right in the middle of the park, you will discover the Shady Botanical Garden, home to local flowers, rare herbs, and an impressive 1,000-year-old banyan tree. History enthusiasts will also appreciate the northeast corner, where a 25-meter-tall Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs stands nestled among pine and cypress trees.
