Located at 1519 West Church Street, just north of Camping World Stadium, Lake Lorna Doone Park is a 12-acre green space nestled between Orlando's Westfield and Parramore neighborhoods. Known as the "Jewel of the West Side" following a comprehensive $8 million renovation in 2021, this park offers you both modern recreational features and profound historic significance. When you visit, you can explore an array of updated amenities designed for all ages, including a walking loop, fitness stations, basketball courts, covered seating, a pavilion, an inclusive playground, and a splashy water spray park.

Beyond its vibrant recreational spaces, you are standing on deeply historic ground. On August 9, 1955, Lake Lorna Doone Park hosted the first integrated Little League Baseball game ever played in the American South during the Florida State Tournament. While other states resisted integration following Supreme Court rulings, City of Orlando and state officials cooperated to ensure the game proceeded peacefully, with hometown crowds cheering the visiting Pensacola Jaycees.

The park hosted the state tournament again in 1963. Whether you want to appreciate its pivotal civil rights history or enjoy its contemporary park amenities, Lake Lorna Doone Park provides a welcoming Orlando experience.
