Located 23 km northeast of Paris in Roissy-en-France, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is France's primary international hub. Spanning 32.38 square kilometres across three départements, it is operated by Groupe ADP. As Europe's busiest airport within the European Union, this massive gateway handled over 70 million passengers in 2024 and serves as the principal hub for Air France alongside an operating base for easyJet.
The airport layout is organized into three distinct terminal complexes. Terminal 1 features a circular design with satellite concourses and predominantly serves Star Alliance carriers. Terminal 2 spans seven distinct sub-terminal buildings designated 2A through 2G, hosting various SkyTeam, Oneworld, and Star Alliance members. Opposite Terminal 1 sits Terminal 3, a dedicated facility recognized as a top low-cost airline terminal.
01 Terminals & concourses
The oldest circular terminal features a refurbished central body and a departure lounge styled like a Parisian bistro. It primarily hosts Star Alliance carriers alongside select Oneworld, SkyTeam, and non-alliance airlines.
Connected by elevated walkways, Terminal 2A hosts major Oneworld carriers, select Star Alliance and SkyTeam airlines, and non-alliance operators.
Fully renovated with a second-floor arrivals area, Terminal 2B serves low-cost carrier easyJet along with airlines like Royal Air Maroc.
Terminal 2C features a joint boarding area connected with 2A to ease transfers, housing a mix of Oneworld, SkyTeam, and Star Alliance carriers.
Serving as a major hub for Air France and its SkyTeam partners, Terminal 2E links directly to Satellites S3 and S4 via the LISA shuttle.
Dedicated primarily to Air France and its key SkyTeam partners like KLM and TAROM, Terminal 2F handles Schengen and regional flights.

Lost, delayed or damaged baggage at CDG
If your checked bag doesn't turn up on the belt, act before you leave the baggage-claim area — that's where every airline keeps its Baggage Service Office.
- Go to your airline's Baggage Service Office in the baggage-claim hall of your arrival terminal.
- File a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) and get your file reference (WorldTracer) number. Keep your bag-tag receipt and boarding pass.
- Track it online using that reference on your airline's baggage-tracking page — most bags are located within 24–48 hours.
- Claim your essentials. On delayed bags airlines reimburse reasonable interim purchases (toiletries, clothing) — keep receipts. International trips are covered by the Montreal Convention.
- If it's truly lost (generally after 21 days) or damaged, file the claim at the same office — damage must be reported before you leave the airport.
Left something in the terminal (not a checked bag)? That's handled by the airport Lost & Found. Items left at a TSA security checkpoint are held by the TSA, not the airline.
