Located in Bottrop-Kirchhellen in western Germany, just 50 kilometres north of Düsseldorf, Movie Park Germany sits near several active film studios. The park site originally opened in 1967 as Kirchhellener Märchenwald before transforming into Warner Bros. Movie World Germany in 1996. Relaunched under its current name in 2005, the park has been owned and operated by Parques Reunidos since 2010. You will find a rich history of film-inspired entertainment nestled right in the heart of Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia region.

Spanning 40 hectares (100 acres), Movie Park Germany is organized into seven themed areas based on iconic movies and television series. You can explore cinematic streets in The Hollywood Street Set and Streets of New York, step into Western lore in The Old West, or relax at Santa Monica Pier. Sci-fi fans will appreciate Federation Plaza, while families can spend time in Adventure Lagoon or Nickland, which includes a dedicated Paw Patrol Adventure Bay sub-area for younger visitors.

The park is famous for combining silver-screen nostalgia with thrilling rides and live entertainment. Signature roller coasters include Bandit—Germany's first modern wooden coaster—and Star Trek: Operation Enterprise, a 40-meter-high triple-launch coaster. Water rides like Area 51 – Top Secret and Excalibur bring movie-style story elements to life. Beyond daytime shows like Crazy Cops New York – Action Stunt Show, the park hosts the annual Halloween Horror Fest with over 250 scare actors and haunted mazes.

Whether you are traveling as a thrill-seeker or bringing small children, the park offers something tailored to your speed. Kids will love meeting their favorite television characters in Nickland, which features a dedicated Monsterfreie Zone to keep younger guests safe from scare actors during Halloween events. Meanwhile, adrenaline lovers can tackle inversion coasters, dark-ride coasters like Van Helsing's Factory, and gyro drop towers, making this movie-themed destination a rewarding visit for all ages.
