Parque Warner Madrid is located 23 kilometers (14 miles) southeast of Madrid, Spain, in the municipality of San Martín de la Vega. The destination originally welcomed its first visitors during a grand opening on April 5, 2002, before opening to the general public on April 6, 2002. Originally operating as Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid under Six Flags management and various Spanish investment partners, the park was later renamed in 2006. Today, it is owned and operated by Parques Reunidos, with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences retaining a 5% ownership stake.
The park incorporates extensive movie and animation branding, utilizing properties from Warner Bros., DC Comics, Looney Tunes, and Hanna-Barbera. In June 2014, the resort expanded its footprint by opening Parque Warner Beach, an 8.5 million euro water park spanning 30,000 square meters (320,000 square feet). This themed aquatic area features two wave pools, a lazy river, and two dedicated water play areas. The main park layout pairs cinematic themes with major stunt performances, including acclaimed shows such as Police Academy 2, Batman Begins, and The Music of Bugs Bunny.
Designed for both thrill-seekers and families, the park boasts a world-class lineup of signature rides and roller coasters. Thrill enthusiasts can brave Superman: La Atracción de Acero, Europe's first floorless coaster, or Stunt Fall, a giant inverted boomerang dropping riders 54.4 meters at 115 km/h. Other major highlights include the 100-meter-tall drop tower La Venganza del Enigma, the inverted Shadows of Arkham, and the wooden coaster Coaster-Express. Families can enjoy milder adventures like Correcaminos Bip, Bip or the interactive dark ride La Aventura de Scooby-Doo.
