Why Fkih Ben Saleh
Fkih Ben Saleh, also rendered as Fquih Ben Salah, is an inland city located in central Morocco. Serving as the administrative capital of the Fquih Ben Salah Province, it forms a key urban center within the wider Béni Mellal-Khénifra region.
The city rests in the historical territory of the Beni Amir, an Arab tribe that belongs to the larger Tadla tribal confederation. Over time, the settlement has grown into a substantial regional hub, recording a population of 97,380 residents according to the 2024 Moroccan census.
In terms of international connections, the city maintains formal cultural and municipal ties abroad. It is officially twinned with the town of Don Benito, located in Spain.
