Why Sanare
Sanare is a significant city and the municipal seat of Andrés Eloy Blanco, located within Lara State in Venezuela. The municipality itself is split into three distinct parishes: Yacambú, La Quebrada Honda del Guache, and Pio Tamayo, with Sanare serving as the primary urban center of the latter. Historical records indicate that the town was established in 1620 by Friar Dominico Melchor Ponce de León, acting under the instructions of Governor Don Francisco de la Hoz Berrío.
Positioned at an elevation of 1,357 meters above sea level, the city benefits from a sub-humid climate. The region receives a yearly average precipitation of 1,680 millimeters, while temperatures typically hover around a mean of 68 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year.
Demographically, the municipality has a total population of 39,052 residents, resulting in a density of roughly 55.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. The local populace skews notably young, with nearly 46 percent of all inhabitants under the age of 15.
The regional economy relies heavily on agricultural activities. Coffee serves as the main primary crop produced in the area, supplemented by harvests of black beans, potatoes, strawberries, and corn.
