Located four miles northeast of downtown El Paso, El Paso International Airport serves as the busiest commercial airport across West Texas, Southern New Mexico, and North Central Mexico. Covering 6,670 acres, this airport features a central layout that efficiently connects incoming travellers to key destinations across the borderlands region.
The airport is organized around a main terminal featuring a two-level pier-satellite design. On the lower level, you will find ticketing, baggage claim, rental cars, and the main entrance meeter/greeter area. Escalators lead up to the security checkpoint and two passenger concourses—Concourse A to the west and Concourse B to the east.

The central terminal houses 15 total gates split across Concourse A (A1–A4) and Concourse B (B1–B11). On the upper level near Concourse B, you can access a food court offering several dining options.

Lost, delayed or damaged baggage at ELP
If your checked bag doesn't turn up on the belt, act before you leave the baggage-claim area — that's where every airline keeps its Baggage Service Office.
- Go to your airline's Baggage Service Office in the baggage-claim hall of your arrival terminal.
- File a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) and get your file reference (WorldTracer) number. Keep your bag-tag receipt and boarding pass.
- Track it online using that reference on your airline's baggage-tracking page — most bags are located within 24–48 hours.
- Claim your essentials. On delayed bags airlines reimburse reasonable interim purchases (toiletries, clothing) — keep receipts. International trips are covered by the Montreal Convention.
- If it's truly lost (generally after 21 days) or damaged, file the claim at the same office — damage must be reported before you leave the airport.

03 Getting to & from ELP
