A major turning point occurred in 1995 when Abdul Ali generously donated half of his house's land so that a proper mosque could be constructed. When you look at the structure, you are seeing a building designed by Muhammad Ameer of Pakistan, who also provided a major portion of the funds needed for its construction.

The mosque's history is deeply connected to the local area's endurance; it suffered damage during the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake. However, following the disaster, the mosque was completely renovated and fully restored to welcome visitors and worshippers alike.
