Why Benslimane

Benslimane is a Moroccan city that serves as the administrative capital of the surrounding Benslimane Province within the Casablanca-Settat region. Situated approximately 60 kilometers from Casablanca, the town is widely recognized for its dry climate and is notably frequented for wild boar hunting.

Established in 1907 by the French during the Moroccan military campaign, the settlement originated around a military facility. A residential section for personnel subsequently developed along the route heading toward Bouznika, laying the groundwork for the modern urban center.

The city is organized into various distinct neighborhoods. These residential and functional areas include the Bel Air District, Al Qods District, The Oaks District, and the Gardens District, alongside designated administrative and industrial sectors.

Benslimane is slated to expand its international profile as the site for the planned Hassan II Stadium. The venue is being constructed in anticipation of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, an event Morocco will co-host in partnership with Spain and Portugal.
