Kanpur Zoological Park 🇮🇳

Welcome to Kanpur Zoological Park, also known as Allen Forest Zoo, the largest open green space in Kanpur and the largest zoological park in North India. Spanning 110 hectares, this zoo is an oasis of green built within a natural forest featuring ancient trees and a rainwater lake. Designed with open, moated enclosures along a semicircular 9-kilometer road, it gives animals ample space to move naturally.

You can spot a wide array of wildlife, including white tigers, leopards, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, and chimpanzees, alongside an island for primates and free-roaming monkeys and deer. Beyond mammals, explore a botanical garden with rare plant species, a dedicated Butterfly Park boasting over 50 observed species, an aquarium, a night house for nocturnal creatures, and life-size dinosaur sculptures. The aviary houses birds from around the globe, while the central lake attracts local and migratory species.

Visitors can enjoy nature walks, picnics, or ride a toy train and electric cars across the grounds. With an ISO certification for environment management, strict plastic bans, and a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, this pristine park offers an eco-friendly escape located about seven kilometers from Kanpur's city center.
