Leme is a municipality situated in the mid-eastern section of São Paulo state, Brazil. Positioned approximately 190 kilometers from the state capital, it covers a land area of around 403 square kilometers. Officially established as a town on August 29, 1895, the municipality celebrates its anniversary on this date each year. The local territory encompasses the primary municipal district along with the rural communities of Taquari, Taquari Ponte, and Caju.
The region sits within the drainage basin of the Moji-Guaçu River at an average elevation of 619 meters above sea level. Its terrain is characterized by gently undulating landforms across both urban and countryside areas. This favorable landscape facilitates civic expansion, agricultural endeavors, and local transportation by bicycle, which serves as a widely utilized mode of travel. The climate brings an average annual temperature of roughly 22 °C, featuring dry conditions during the winter season and higher precipitation throughout the summer months.

Religious points of interest in the municipality fall under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Limeira, while various Protestant denominations are also established.
