Welcome to the London Eye, an iconic 135-meter-tall cantilevered observation wheel standing on the South Bank of the River Thames between Westminster Bridge and Hungerford Bridge. Originally opened in 2000 as the Millennium Wheel, this famous structure is supported solely by an A-frame on one side and has become the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, drawing over three million visitors each year. Stepping into one of the 32 sealed, air-conditioned ovoidal passenger capsules, you will experience a gentle 30-minute revolution high above the city.

Inside, up to 25 guests are free to move around or sit down while taking in elevated views of London. The wheel’s rim resembles a massive spoked bicycle wheel and is dramatically illuminated by digitally controlled LED lighting. Before taking your flight, you can head to nearby County Hall to enjoy a four-minute 4D cinema film showing London landmarks from a seagull’s perspective, complete with physical effects like wind, scents, and falling snow.

Located next to Jubilee Gardens and close to Waterloo tube station, the London Eye offers a memorable, effortless way to admire the UK capital’s skyline.
