Step into the Montreal Biodome, a unique museum of enclosed ecosystems located at Olympic Park in Montreal, Quebec. Originally built as a velodrome for the 1976 Olympic Games by architect Roger Taillibert, this venue was converted into an indoor nature exhibit in 1992 and is now part of Canada's largest natural science museum complex, Space for Life. As you explore, you will walk through immersive replicas of five distinct ecosystems found across the Americas.

Marvel at the warm, humid Tropical Rainforest gallery packed with capybaras and tamarins, or follow the shifting seasons inside the terrestrial and aquatic habitats of the Laurentian Maple Forest. Observe seabirds alongside 2.5 million liters of salinated water representing the Gulf of St. Lawrence, view puffins along the Labrador Coast, and walk through an ice tunnel to see penguins on land and in water in the Sub-Antarctic Islands exhibit.

A newly added upper mezzanine grants sweeping views into three ecosystems alongside behind-the-scenes insights into the facility's conservation mission. Accredited by AZA and CAZA, the Biodome combines natural history with interactive discovery.
