Step back into southern Nevada's past with a visit to Old Vegas, an American Old West theme park situated on Boulder Highway in Henderson. Built to showcase 1850s regional history, this tourist and family attraction features a replica of Las Vegas' Old Mormon Fort. Inside the fort complex, you will discover the Hondo Casino, the Hondo Cantina saloon and steakhouse, a historical museum, and a sutler store.

You can also take a seat in the 300-seat Commandant's Theatre to watch a historical film presentation narrated by actor Dale Robertson. Across the park grounds, explore authentic historic relocated buildings from the former El Rancho Vegas hotel, admire an 11-foot-high bronze statue of Raphael Rivera, and view historic rail equipment like the Eureka Locomotive. With its western village layout designed by Hollywood art directors, Old Vegas offers amusement rides, go-karts, a merry-go-round, a video game arcade, and the Wagon Camp picnic areas.

It serves as an entertaining day trip to experience a passport to the past outside the modern Las Vegas Strip.
