Orangery Palace 🇩🇪

If you are exploring Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, Germany, the magnificent Orangery Palace—also called the New Orangery on the Klausberg—is a must-see destination. Commissioned by King Frederick William IV of Prussia and built between 1851 and 1864, this UNESCO World Heritage site features a striking 300-meter-long front designed in the Italian Renaissance style, reminiscent of Rome's Villa Medici and Florence's Uffizi.

You can also admire the royal apartments decorated in the second Rococo style, created for Tsar Nicholas I and Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna. Outside, explore the diverse grounds designed by Peter Joseph Lenné, including the exotic Paradise Garden, the dark pine-filled Norse Garden, and the sun-soaked Sicilian Garden filled with palm tubs, laurels, arcades, and fountains.
