Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Delta Air Lines have officially announced a new, long-term strategic loyalty partnership designed to offer integrated benefits for frequent travelers. The agreement allows eligible elite members of both the World of Hyatt and Delta SkyMiles programs to earn reciprocal rewards across flights and hotel stays worldwide. The announcement comes as Hyatt simultaneously concludes its previous loyalty integration with American Airlines, transitioning its focus to a streamlined relationship with Delta.

World of Hyatt represents the award-winning guest loyalty program of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, covering hundreds of luxury, lifestyle, and resort properties globally. Delta SkyMiles is the premier loyalty program of Delta Air Lines, serving millions of global flyers. Historically, hotel and airline partnerships have provided significant value to frequent travelers by bridging ground accommodations with air transportation. This new alliance aims to simplify travel rewards by recognizing status and awarding points across both ecosystems seamlessly.

Under the newly structured dual-earn benefit, eligible World of Hyatt elite members can earn World of Hyatt points on qualifying Delta flight purchases across eligible fare classes. Concurrently, Delta SkyMiles Medallion members will earn SkyMiles on qualifying stays at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide. The initiative is built to enhance customer retention by rewarding high-frequency travelers throughout their entire journey, from departure to check-out.

For major hotel and airline brands, high-tier loyalty members represent a vital customer segment that drives consistent revenue. Unifying air travel and lodging rewards strengthens brand affinity for both companies while providing tangible financial returns for consumers. By aligning with Delta Air Lines, Hyatt offers its top-tier guests direct earning access on one of the largest international air carriers, reinforcing the appeal of elite status within the World of Hyatt ecosystem.

Travelers enrolled in World of Hyatt and Delta SkyMiles should ensure their accounts are updated and ready for account linking once the technical integration officially opens in the coming months. Existing Hyatt and American Airlines members should note that account linking for that legacy partnership closes on November 15, after which transition rules apply through early 2027. To maximize future earnings, elite members should monitor official communications from both Hyatt and Delta for precise rollout dates and registration steps.
