Disneyland Park is a fairy-tale theme park located at Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, France. Designed and built by Walt Disney Imagineering, it originally opened on 12 April 1992 under the name Euro Disneyland Park. Spanning 140 acres (56.656 hectares), it is the second-largest Disney theme park based on the original layout, following Shanghai Disneyland. In 2024, the park welcomed 10.2 million visitors, cementing its status as the most-visited theme park across Europe and the tenth-most visited theme park worldwide.
The layout of Disneyland Park is designed like a wheel radiating from the Central Plaza directly in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle (Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant). Guests can explore five distinct themed lands radiating outward: Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Discoveryland. A 3-foot narrow-gauge steam engine, the Disneyland Railroad, encircles the park perimeter with stations along the way. To adapt to the Parisian weather, the park incorporates covered walkways called arcades along Main Street alongside numerous indoor fireplaces across dining venues.
Across its 140-acre footprint, the park offers 49 attractions ranging from gentle family dark rides to thrill coasters and seasonal parade entertainment. Among its altered concepts are retrofuturistic Discoveryland, Phantom Manor, and the thrilling Hyperspace Mountain roller coaster. Entertainment spans daytime parades like Disney Stars on Parade and nighttime spectacles such as Disney Tales of Magic. Whether you are taking a multi-day trip or visiting with family, the park provides themed attractions, canal boats, riverboats, and encounters with classic Disney characters across all lands.
