Located in Günzburg, Bavaria, roughly halfway between Munich and Stuttgart, Legoland Deutschland opened on May 17, 2002. Originally developed by the LEGO Group and acquired by Merlin Entertainments in 2005, the resort was built as a premier destination for families and Lego enthusiasts traveling across southern Germany. The park expanded from 43.5 hectares to a multi-world resort, complete with an adjacent holiday village for multi-day trips.
The resort is organized into distinct themed areas, ranging from the Entrance Area to Miniland, Lego City, Knights Kingdom, Imagination, Kingdom of the Pharaohs, Adventure Land, Pirate Land, Lego X-treme, Little Asia, Ninjago World, and Lego Mythica. Each land immerses visitors in creative Lego scenes, combining detailed models with themed architecture to create a structured and navigable layout for guests of all ages.
Legoland Deutschland is famous for its diverse mix of attractions, including the unique wing coaster Maximus - The Guardian's Flight, the Flying Ninjago sky fly tower, and log flumes like Jungle X-pedition. Visitors can also experience interactive dark rides, live shows, splash pads, and Miniland's 1:20 scale European landmarks crafted from millions of Lego bricks. In 2024, the resort expanded further with the opening of the neighboring Peppa Pig Park.

Ticket prices for Legoland Deutschland change by date and season, and the park sells single-day, multi-day and annual passes — buying online in advance is almost always cheaper than at the gate, and popular dates can sell out. Check the official site for live pricing before you travel.

- Guests can purchase Standard, Premium, or Gold Express Passes to reserve queue spots for select attractions.
