Located in Adinkerke, within the Belgian municipality of De Panne, Plopsaland Belgium offers a coastal theme park experience owned and operated by Plopsa. The site originally opened in 1935 as Meli Park, founded by Alberic-Joseph Florizoone to sell home-produced honey and teach visitors about bees. The Florizoone family sold the park in 1999 to Studio 100 and VMMa, leading to a winter overhaul and a grand reopening on April 20, 2000, under the name Plopsaland. In 2005, Plopsa acquired full ownership.
Spanning 55 total attractions—including 7 roller coasters—Plopsaland Belgium features distinct themed areas designed around popular Studio 100 characters such as Samson en Gert and Kabouter Plop. Over the years, the park has added dedicated lands like Vic the Viking-land in 2013 and Circus Bumba in 2023. Beyond outdoor rides, the destination expanded into an all-weather resort with Mayaland, an indoor theme park added in 2011, alongside the Studio 100 Theater which debuted in 2013 to host live shows.
While initially focused on families with younger children, the park expanded its appeal to thrill-seekers and older guests through major coaster additions. Signature roller coasters include Anubis the Ride, added in 2009, Heidi the Ride in 2017, and The Ride to Happiness in 2021. Today, the resort supports multi-day stays with the addition of Plopsaqua De Panne water park, an on-site hotel, a campsite, and the official headquarters of the Plopsa group.

Ticket prices for Plopsaland De Panne change by date and season, and the park sells single-day, multi-day and annual passes — buying online in advance is almost always cheaper than at the gate, and popular dates can sell out. Check the official site for live pricing before you travel.

03 Where to stay
