Located just outside Orlando, Florida, SeaWorld Orlando is an animal theme park that debuted on December 15, 1973, as the third park in the SeaWorld chain. Owned and operated by United Parks & Resorts, the park welcomed an estimated 4.45 million guests in 2022, ranking as the tenth-most visited amusement park in the United States. It is frequently promoted alongside neighboring sister parks Discovery Cove and Aquatica, as well as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
Initially relying primarily on live marine animal shows, the park shifted toward thrill rides after being acquired by Anheuser-Busch in 1989. In 2014, for its 50th anniversary, SeaWorld Orlando organized its layout into distinct ocean-themed areas known as seas. These lands include Port of Entry, Sea of Delight, Sea of Fun, Sea of Ice, Sea of Legends, Sea of Mystery, Sea of Power, Sea of Shallows, and Sesame Street Land.
The park is famous for combining animal habitats with rides and roller coasters. Thrill-seekers can experience Mako, Kraken, Manta, Ice Breaker, and Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, while families enjoy water rides like Journey to Atlantis and Infinity Falls or family coasters like Penguin Trek. Visitors can also watch live presentations such as Orca Encounter at Shamu Stadium or explore extensive shallow water habitats housing dolphins, stingrays, sea turtles, and manatees.
