Located in the historic La Candelaria neighborhood of Bogotá, Colombia, the Museo Botero offers you an extraordinary window into the world of famous Colombian artist Fernando Botero and his impressive private art collection. Set inside a charming colonial mansion, this art museum displays 208 donated pieces, including 123 of Botero's own creations alongside 85 works by iconic international artists. When you visit, you will encounter Botero's oil paintings, drawings, pastels, sanguines, and sculptures made primarily during his recent decades.

You can marvel at signature pieces like his famous Boterian rendition of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, as well as selected works from his initial series addressing violence in Colombia. Beyond Botero's own creations, you can explore masterpieces by legendary figures such as Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Henri Matisse, Salvador Dalí, Marc Chagall, and Joan Miró. Managed by the Bank of the Republic's cultural branch as part of La Candelaria cultural complex, the museum welcomes over 500,000 annual visitors and has been open to the public free of charge since November 2000.

It provides an unmissable cultural stop in the heart of Colombia's capital.
