Seonam Lake Park 🇰🇷

Nestled next to Hamwolsan in Ulsan's Nam-gu district, Seonam Lake Park is an inviting urban getaway built around a large, C-shaped dammed lake. Originally created in 1964 as a water reservoir for nearby industry, the area underwent a total transformation before opening to the public in 2007. Today, you can stroll roughly 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) of scenic, paved walking trails that loop completely around the water, taking about an hour to complete.

Along your walk, you will discover lovely natural spots like a rose garden and a lotus pond, perfect for taking in the fresh air. Active travelers can also take advantage of local sports amenities, including a soccer field, tennis courts, and a survival game field. For a unique experience, follow the additional mountain trails that wind into the hills surrounding the lake.

Here, hidden among the trees, you will find three fascinating miniature places of worship: the tiny 1.8-meter-tall Anmin Temple, the 1.8-meter Lake Church, and a 1.5-meter replica of St. Peter's Basilica.
