Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. pureTRAVEL is my travel home: a diary from the road, written the way I’d tell a good friend — honest, first-hand, and always with an eye for the beautiful.
It all started more than ten years ago, with a single trip. What began as a few personal lines to family and friends grew into an adventure that changed my life — pureTRAVEL, back then still in German, as part of the pure*.tv family. Then came years with more than 200 nights on the road: grand hotels and design refuges, lounges and business class above the clouds, tables with a view — and countless moments I would have loved to pause. I learned to look closely, to ask questions, and to check every detail that makes a stay truly special.
Today I’m based in Florida, after many years in Düsseldorf. And what I look for has changed. Fine dining isn’t the priority anymore — it’s about experiences: special hotels, special airlines, comfort. It’s about enjoying life — and that doesn’t always have to mean luxury. Sometimes it’s simply beautiful moments.
