Atatürk Park is a scenic Mediterranean coastal park located in the Akdeniz district of Mersin, Turkey. Stretching over 1,200 meters along the sea coast between harbour facilities and the old Mersin marina, this 40-acre public green space offers a relaxing seaside experience. Originally created from Mersin Harbor dredging fill in the 1950s, the area has evolved into a transforming culture park featuring lovely flower beds and wide excursion paths by the water.
As you stroll through the grounds, you can visit the amateur fishermen's club near the old marina where local fishing boats anchor. At the park's main entrance, you will encounter the Refah Şehitleri Abidesi monument, which thoughtfully commemorates the World War II tragedy of the sunken ship Refah, as well as the late 19th-century Ottoman frigate Ertuğrul. Additionally, the north east section of the park houses the Congress and Exhibition Center, a multi-use complex featuring performance halls, conference facilities, and a pool.
