Step into the vibrant legacy of the Burlesque Hall of Fame (BHOF), a historic Las Vegas destination and non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization located in the Arts District at 1027 S Main St. #110. Originally starting as the personal collection of striptease artist Jennie Lee—and later expanded by Dixie Evans in Helendale, California, as Exotic World—this world-class museum was dedicated to the history, preservation, and future of burlesque art. You will discover a vast collection detailing burlesque from its golden age through contemporary practice, featuring everything from posters, playbills, and photographs to publicity stills and costumes worn by legends like Venus De Light, Tempest Storm, Blaze Starr, Lili St.
Cyr, Candy Barr, Chesty Morgan, and Dita Von Teese. Marvel at spectacular prop and costume elements including feather boas, fans, gloves, garter belts, gowns, pasties, g-strings, shoes, and jewelry. Keep an eye out for unique treasures like Sally Rand's ivory fans, Gypsy Rose Lee's gloves and black velvet shoulder cape, Jayne Mansfield's heart-shaped couch, and Miss Sheri Champagne's cremation ashes.
Note that after decades of celebrating performers, hosting classes, research access, and its annual weekender, the museum permanently closed its doors on July 20, 2025.
