Why Burzaco

Burzaco is an Argentine city situated within the Almirante Brown Partido in the province of Buenos Aires. Covering an area of 22.77 square kilometers, this urban settlement recorded a population of 98,859 inhabitants during the 2010 INDEC census.

The region's history dates back to at least the late 18th century, when agricultural farms operated in the area. However, formal establishment as a town occurred shortly after the introduction of the railway network in 1865, which spurred local growth and development.

Visitors to Burzaco can explore its central plaza, which holds significant historical merit as the location of Argentina's first National Flag monument. The city provides a modest local landmark for travelers interested in regional history and civic monuments.

Located 27 kilometers from the national capital of Buenos Aires, Burzaco remains directly connected to the metropolis via the Ferrocarril General Roca South railway line, making it easily accessible by train.
