When visiting Zurich, Switzerland, you will find the Foundation E.G. Bührle Collection, an art museum established by the Bührle family to share Emil Georg Bührle's collection of European sculptures and paintings with the public.

Located in a villa adjoining Bührle's former home, the museum's holdings were built from wealth Bührle made as the richest man in Switzerland through weapon sales to Adolf Hitler's army. In 2021, many works were placed on a 20-year loan across almost an entire floor of the Kunsthaus Zürich extension, though the collection faces ongoing controversy due to suspicions that numerous works were looted from Jews by Nazi Germany.

During your visit, you can explore Bührle's acquisitions, which include gothic sculptures bought from Benno Griebert, an ardent Nazi supporter, as well as Old Masters and Modern art by Pierre Bonnard, Georges Braque, Henri Matisse, and Pablo Picasso. The main focus of what you will see is French Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, featuring masterpieces by Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Georges Seurat, Alfred Sisley, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Vincent van Gogh.
