Located in Monterrey, Mexico, Fundidora Park (Parque Fundidora) is a unique urban park built on the grounds of the former Monterrey Foundry—the first and long the most important steel and iron foundry in Latin America. Today, you can explore this 144-hectare space designated as a Museum of Industrial Archaeology Site, which harmoniously blends cultural, business, and entertainment venues with green space.
As you walk through the grounds, you will discover 80 hectares of green space, 2 lakes, 23 fountains, 16 buildings, 27 large-scale industrial structures, and 127 historically significant steel-making tools and machines from Nuevo León's industrial past. The park also incorporates the 2.35-kilometer Paseo Santa Lucía artificial river and river-walk, which links the park to the city's Great Plaza.
Major highlights inside include the Cintermex convention center, the 480,000-square-foot Monterrey Arena for sports and shows, the 8,200-capacity Auditorio Citibanamex indoor amphitheatre, and the Parque Fiesta Aventuras theme park. Beyond its permanent attractions, the park hosts major annual music events like Pal Norte and Machaca Fest, as well as the FIFA Fan Festival for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
