Why Geodis Park

Geodis Park is a major sports and entertainment venue located at the historic Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee. Holding a capacity of 30,109 spectators, it stands as the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada. The facility serves as the primary home field for Major League Soccer club Nashville SC while also functioning as a setting for concerts and international athletic events.

Originally known as Nashville SC Stadium during its development phase, the venue officially opened on May 1, 2022, hosting an inaugural match between Nashville SC and the Philadelphia Union. The project was realized through a public-private partnership involving local civic leaders and lead owner John R. Ingram. Demolition at the fairgrounds site commenced in early 2020 after an updated deal placed full construction funding and neighboring infrastructure costs on the club. Ahead of its debut, a sponsorship agreement with Geodis, a corporation headquartered in nearby Brentwood, established the venue's current name.

Designed by the architecture firm Populous, Geodis Park incorporates specialized features for matchday visitors. The stadium interior features two dozen box suites, six lounges, and a dedicated entrance gate on the north side built specifically for supporter groups. Outside the structure, a mixed-use open plaza links the building to neighboring fairground spaces and the adjacent motor racing circuit.

The stadium serves as an anchor for a broader redevelopment of the fairgrounds property. This wider area includes relocated exposition facilities, new retail and residential buildings, and an upgraded Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway suited for major racing events. In addition to regular club matches, Geodis Park was selected as a host venue for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and is scheduled to host nine matches for the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Travelers accessing the venue can utilize 11 official parking lots distributed around the Fairgrounds site, which feature paved, gravel, and grass surfaces requiring pre-paid passes. A dedicated ride-hailing zone is located on the property for drop-offs and pick-ups. Public transit access is provided by WeGo Public Transit, which operates two bus stops near the stadium, though standard bus routes do not include extended late-night service for match days.
