Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church 🇺🇸

Located in Colorado Springs, Grace & Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church is a National Register of Historic Places site featuring a striking mix of Gothic Revival and Tudor Revival architecture built between 1894 and 1955. As you explore this historic campus, you will discover the rich heritage of a congregation that dates back to 1872. You can admire the impressive exterior built from grey Castle Rock lava rock and coursed rhyolite rubble before taking in the architectural details of the historic 1895 chapel, the expansive 1926 sanctuary, and the 1950s Tudor Revival educational wing.

Outside, look up to see the soaring 90-foot bell tower with its octagonal corner piers, crocket pinnacles, and a delicate statue of Saint Stephen set above the stone entrance. Throughout the complex, you will find a total of 48 stained-glass windows spanning the 20th century, including dramatic lancet windows along the west side and side aisles. Inside, you can appreciate the glass-roofed atrium connecting the structures, as well as an organ donated in 1928 by local philanthropist Alice Bemis Taylor.
