Spanning the waters of the Ébrié Lagoon, the Henri Konan Bédié Bridge—frequently referred to as the HKB Bridge or the Third Bridge—is a major road bridge and expressway that connects the northern and southern areas of Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Measuring 1.5 kilometers (0.93 miles) in length, this impressive viaduct provides a direct link between the lively districts of Cocody and Marcory.

As you travel across it, you will experience a modern engineering feat designed to alleviate heavy traffic congestion on the city's older 1950s and 1960s crossings, the Houphouët-Boigny Bridge and the Charles de Gaulle Bridge. Though the structure was first envisioned in municipal development plans as early as 1952, political instability delayed major construction until 2011, making its completion a milestone in the city's growth.

Built, financed, and operated through a Public-private partnership, this vital toll road offers a smooth transit point over the lagoon. Visit to witness a landmark piece of Ivorian infrastructure that showcases Abidjan's ongoing urban evolution while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding Ébrié Lagoon during your journey between key districts.
