Located at the mouth of Salt Lake City's Emigration Canyon, Utah's Hogle Zoo offers a 42-acre experience featuring over 800 animals across 139 species. As an AZA and WAZA accredited facility, you can explore diverse habitats designed with high standards of animal welfare and conservation. Walk through the African Savanna to spot lions, reticulated giraffes, and warthogs, or stop by Twiga Terrace to feed the giraffes.
At Rocky Shores, you will find polar bears, grizzly bear siblings, harbor seals, and river otters, alongside rescued wildlife. Head over to Asian Highlands to see Siberian tigers, Amur leopards, and red pandas, or visit the Great Apes exhibit to watch western lowland gorillas and Bornean orangutans. Discover regional wildlife at the Wild Utah exhibit, which highlights native species like desert bighorn sheep, mountain lions, and burrowing owls, or check out High Desert Oasis for Przewalski’s horses and white rhinoceroses.
Centered around Oasis Plaza, you can take a ride on the Conservation Carousel or enjoy a meal at Oasis Cafe. With family learning programs at Creekside's Discovery Theater, the zoo connects you directly to vital global conservation efforts.
