Why Inter&Co Stadium
Inter&Co Stadium is a dedicated soccer venue situated along West Church Street in the Parramore neighborhood of downtown Orlando, Florida. Encompassing approximately 290,000 square feet, the stadium features a natural grass pitch located eight feet below street level and accommodates a seating capacity of 25,500 spectators. The venue serves as the home stadium for Major League Soccer's Orlando City SC, the National Women's Soccer League's Orlando Pride, and the United Football League's Orlando Storm.
Initial land acquisition by the City of Orlando occurred in 2013, with the construction site eventually shifted one block west in 2014 to avoid project delays, leading to the closure of Parramore Avenue between Church Street and Central Boulevard. Privately funded by Orlando City SC at a total cost of $155 million—partially backed by foreign investments through the EB-5 program—the facility was designed by the architectural firm Populous. The venue officially opened on March 5, 2017, when Orlando City SC defeated New York City FC 1–0 in front of a sellout crowd.
The facility incorporates several distinct architectural details, including overhead canopies designed to shelter spectators from weather and amplify crowd noise, alongside an open exterior plaza. A palm-tree-lined festival area is situated near the main entrance at Church Street and Terry Avenue. Inside, the south side features a ground-level bar as well as an upper balcony-style bar offering 360-degree views beneath the primary video scoreboard. A permanent memorial in Section 12 features 49 rainbow-colored seats dedicated to the victims of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting.
On the stadium's north end, a 3,811-capacity safe-standing section equipped with rails known as "The Wall" accommodates dedicated fan groups, including The Ruckus and Iron Lion Firm, and includes its own pub-style space. The section was central to a notable event during a 2019 U.S. Open Cup penalty shootout, when home supporters ran en masse along the concourse to fill the stand behind the goal chosen for the kicks in an event known as "The Running of The Wall."
Beyond regular domestic league matches, the venue hosts a variety of national and international sporting events. It has served as a host site for matches involving the United States men's and women's national soccer teams, the 2019 MLS All-Star Game, the MLS Combine, central matches for the 2020 CONCACAF Champions League, and fixtures for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Additional athletic events held at the stadium include the NCAA Women's College Cup, the Florida Cup, college football's Cure Bowl, and the opening ceremony for the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.
