Louisville Extreme Park 🇺🇸

If you are visiting Louisville, Kentucky, you should check out the David Armstrong Extreme Park, formerly known as the Louisville Extreme Park. Located near downtown in the Butchertown neighborhood, this massive 40,000-square-foot public skatepark offers an incredible space for outdoor recreation. Opened in April 2002 and later rebuilt in 2015, the park gained national fame after being featured on Tony Hawk's Gigantic Skatepark Tour.

When you arrive, you will discover a vast array of skate features designed for different skill levels. You can test your skills on the impressive 24-foot full pipe, which is one of the park's most famous elements, or take on the 12-foot wooden vert ramp featuring a 13-foot extension. Deep-bowl enthusiasts will love exploring the various concrete bowls, which range in depth from 4 feet up to 11 feet.

If street skating is more your style, you can spend your time riding through the dedicated street course, hitting the 6-foot flat bank, sliding across rails and ledges, or jumping off fun boxes. Owned by the Louisville Metro Government and operated by Metro Parks, the park also features convenient public restrooms and emergency telephones, making it a well-equipped, famous stop on your trip.
