Located in the West Main District of Louisville, Kentucky, the Muhammad Ali Center is a six-story, non-profit museum and cultural center celebrating native son Muhammad Ali. Founded by Ali and his wife Lonnie in 2005, this impressive facility spans 96,750 square feet alongside a two-level amphitheater and plaza. The center guides you through his quest to inspire people worldwide, excel as an athlete, and advocate for his beliefs, earning it a place on the U.S. Civil Rights Trail. During your tour, you will start at an orientation theater presenting his life before exploring a mock boxing ring modeled after his Deer Lake Training Camp.
You can view historical boxing memorabilia inside a two-level elliptical pavilion, watch 'The Greatest' projected onto a full-sized ring, and access fight clips and interviews at video-on-demand terminals. Additionally, you can interact with self-reflection terminals, share your own story in the Generation Ali Story Booths, and visit rotating art displays in the third-floor LeRoy Neiman Gallery and Howard L. Bingham Gallery.
