You will find the historic Midland Theatre located in the Power & Light District of Kansas City, Missouri. Originally completed in 1927 by Marcus Loew at a cost of $4 million, this 3,000-seat venue stands as a monumental landmark. Designed by architect Thomas W.

Lamb along with the Boller Brothers, it was once the largest historic theater within 250 miles of the city and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. When you visit, you can admire its impressive Renaissance Revival exterior, crafted from cream glazed terra cotta brick and detailed with winged figures, swags, urns, and arches. Take note of the four-story arched window rising above the restored copper and gold marquee, which shines with 3,600 light bulbs.

Inside, the grand French and Italian Baroque style sets the stage for memorable events. Following a major redevelopment, the main level features a tiered open floor plan accommodating standing general admission or cabaret-style seating, alongside converted bars and lounges. Today, you can attend live concerts, Broadway shows, ballet performances, and seasonal events like the Radio City Christmas Spectacular inside this carefully preserved masterpiece.
