Located in the Binhai Tourism Zone of Tianjin's Binhai New Area at Rongsheng Road and Haixuan Road, the National Maritime Museum of China is the largest maritime museum in the world. Opened for trial operation in May 2019, this massive public institution integrates collection, display, research, and education. Inside, you can discover an incredible exhibition space spanning approximately 23,000 square meters. The museum features six themed exhibition areas—Marine Life, Marine Ecology, Marine Resources, Marine Transportation, Marine Culture, and Marine Science—housed across five distinct halls: the Ancient Ocean Hall, World Ocean Hall, Chinese Ocean Hall, Marine Hall, and Future Ocean Hall. You will get to admire more than 50,000 exhibits, including rare marine biological specimens, precious marine cultural relics, and even the preserved Type 037IG missile boat Yuqing (752).
