Established in 1977 by the Ministry of Defence, this remarkable historic mansion-turned-museum is dedicated to the memory of its most famous past occupants: the celebrated Venezuelan independence hero, Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, and his wife, Mariana Carcelén. As you wander through the historic site, you will discover the personal belongings of the couple, offering you an intimate look into their lives and the era they lived in.
