Welcome to the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum, affectionately known as The Discovery, located in Reno, Nevada. Housed in the former Reno City Hall, this dynamic 67,000-square-foot facility is a private non-profit science center founded in 2011. Designed to engage both children and adults, it offers a hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) through a compelling mix of permanent and special exhibits.
You will find plenty of interactive features to spark your curiosity throughout the space. Explore the human body and your own physical mechanics inside the Inside Out: An Anatomy Experience exhibit, or gather your family and friends to solve group problem-solving challenges set within the Victorian-themed Mindbender Mansion. If you are visiting with very young explorers, head over to the Little Discoveries area, which is tailored specifically for little ones aged five and under.
Here, young minds can build cars and interact with geological displays. Whether you want to test your brainpower, discover human anatomy, or let young kids play and build, The Discovery provides an enriching experience for all ages.
