Step into history at the Vox Theatre, a unique event venue located at 1405 Southwest Boulevard in the Rosedale neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas. Originally opening its doors on December 20, 1922, as the $30,000 silent-film venue Rosedale Theatre, the space evolved into a talkie theater in the early 1940s when it took on its modern name. Though it later served non-entertainment roles as a sheet metal ductwork manufacturing plant and an antique car restoration workshop, the building was purchased in January 2009 by Alistair Tutton, who revived the Vox Theatre name.

Today, you will find a versatile 5,000-square-foot space boasting 20-foot ceilings that seamlessly blends historical character with current functionality. When you visit, look closely at the architectural restoration. The venue preserves its original pressed tin ceiling, archways that once led to a now-gone balcony, and the original stage floor.

The classic theater aesthetic is completed by refurbished stage valance lighting alongside stage curtains sourced from a local high school. Beyond being an event space, the former projection room now houses office space for Springboard Creative, Vox Theatre Event Space, and Alistair Tutton Photography.
