Discover the historical Yuehu Mosque, a unique cultural site located in the Haishu District of Ningbo City within China's Zhejiang province. First constructed in 1003 CE during the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, the mosque complex was later reconstructed in 1699 under the Qing Dynasty's Kangxi Emperor.
Recognized for its deep heritage, it was officially listed as a historical monument of Zhejiang Province in July 2011. When you visit, your journey begins at the main northeastern façade, where you enter into an inviting forecourt. Moving through the entrance on the southern side of this forecourt leads you directly into the main courtyard.
As you explore the grounds, you will see a classic Moon Gate, practical storage rooms, and two historic teaching halls. Situated on the western side of the complex stands the central prayer hall. It is an ideal stop for travelers interested in architectural history and traditional Chinese design.
