Located in Jabal al-Luweibdeh, Amman, the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts offers you an enriching experience at a major contemporary art museum. Officially inaugurated under the patronage of the late King Hussein and Queen Noor Al Hussein, the museum was established in 1980 by the Royal Society of Fine Arts. You should visit to immerse yourself in a remarkably broad permanent collection that celebrates international art, focusing mainly on Asia and Africa.

As you explore the museum, you will see over 2,000 works created by more than 800 artists hailing from 59 countries across the globe. You can view an impressive variety of mediums, including paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, installations, weavings, and ceramics. The collection features artwork from countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Japan, India, France, Sudan, Peru, and the USA, offering you a truly global artistic perspective.

In addition to the diverse creations on display, you will experience an award-winning setting. The museum building underwent a renovation and expansion designed by architect Mohamed al-Asad, which earned the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2007.
