Spanning downtown Da Nang, Vietnam, the Han River Bridge (Song Han Bridge) is a cable-stayed swing bridge that links Le Duan Street with Pham Van Dong Street. Engineered and built by Vietnamese engineers and partially funded by local donors, it opened on March 29, 2000, as the first modern bridge to jumpstart major economic development on both banks of the Han River. Today, it remains a proud symbol featured prominently on the city's logo.

As you explore the area, you will be visiting the only operating swing bridge in Vietnam. Its symmetrical cable-stayed design features a steel swing span measuring 122.7 meters (403 feet) long that rotates smoothly on a circular turntable central pier, alongside fixed concrete spans. It is a striking piece of local history and a vibrant element of the modern cityscape.

When night falls, you can watch the entire structure light up brightly across the water. Late at night, vehicular traffic is halted so the bridge can swing open on its axis to let river shipping traffic pass through, offering a unique spectacle in the heart of the city.
