Located at 21 Brown Street in Providence, Rhode Island, the Annmary Brown Memorial offers a unique experience as an art museum, library, and mausoleum. Completed in 1907 and designed by architect Norman Isham, the building was constructed in the shape of a striking granite temple featuring bronze doors. General Rush Hawkins commissioned the structure to house his personal collection and to serve as a memorial to his beloved wife, Annmary Brown.
Today, it stands as one of the six libraries within the Brown University Library system.
