Nestled in Edmonton, Alberta's river valley, the Edmonton Valley Zoo offers an inviting escape into the animal kingdom. Owned and operated by the City of Edmonton, this accredited zoo houses over 350 exotic and native animals representing more than 100 species. Whether you are eager to learn about wildlife conservation or explore engaging habitats, you will find plenty to discover across its varied zones. Take a stroll through Carnivore Alley to spot impressive predators like Amur tigers, snow leopards, Canada lynx, and red foxes.

Head over to Polar Extremes: Arctic Shores to view harbour seals and northern fur seals swimming underwater, or explore the expansive R. Mollot Arctic Wolf Habitat featuring a pond, waterfall, and naturalistic tundra landscape. At the Makira Outpost, you can observe ring-tailed lemurs enjoying a barrier-free island setup alongside African spurred tortoises. Nearby, Nature’s Wild Backyard showcases immersive red panda enclosures alongside an Urban Farm filled with friendly goats, ponies, and juliana pigs.

Indoors, the Saito Centre houses reptiles, amphibians, and nocturnal species. Open almost every day of the year, the zoo provides a wonderful educational adventure for animal lovers of all ages.
