Positioned right between the municipalities of Osmangazi and Yıldırım, this structure offers you a chance to see a rare type of covered bridge that houses its very own bazaar. Originally commissioned by the merchant Müslihiddin in 1442 and likely designed by Timurtaş, the bridge originally featured thirty shops along its 11-meter-wide layout.

During Ottoman times, it even served a functional security role, closing at night to check traffic passing between the two local neighborhoods. As you explore, you will appreciate its resilient history; the 16-meter arch span survived severe damage from the 1855 Bursa earthquake and a 1922 bombing by the Hellenic Army during the Turkish War of Independence. After remaining closed to traffic, it was reconstructed with minor modifications in 1949 and carefully restored again in 2004.
