Moscow Zoo

Step into history at the Moscow Zoo (Moskovsky Zoopark), a 53-acre sanctuary founded in 1864, making it one of Europe's oldest zoos and one of Russia's largest. Managed by the Government of Moscow since 1922, this expansive destination spans two historic properties—the Old and New territories—connected by a footbridge and marked by a distinctive entrance shaped like a large rock castle.
