Located in Dakar, Senegal, the Massalikoul Djinane Mosque is a magnificent structure that holds the title of the largest mosque in West Africa. Spanning over 10,000 square metres (110,000 square feet), this impressive place of worship is built on land donated in the early 2000s by President Abdoulaye Wade. Built by the Consortium des Entreprises du Sénégal, the mosque's construction spanned approximately 15 years and cost XOF20 billion before officially opening its doors on September 27, 2019.
